Current news

Today’s students face dangers that older generations could not have imagined.  Things like the internet, cell phones, etc., have created a whole new set of issues and dangers for today’s youth.  CHAMPS was founded in 2003 by the Georgia Sheriff’s Association to address the urgent challenges. The target audience for this is the 8th grade.  This is the pilot year for the middle school program.  Camden County was selected to be one of the counties to teach the program in the middle schools.  Both Camden Middle School and St. Marys Middle School accepted this opportunity.
